Karl Rove has a message for you.
You are not welcome in the Republican party. That is the message from establishment Republicans. To libertarians, and liberty mined individuals. And why is that? Because they don’t like true conservatives. Let’s look at their preferred candidates. John McCain, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Paul Ryan and the rest of the centrist big government types. They like “pure” Republican, I say there is no such thing. There is room for all flavors of republicans, including libertarians.
Karl Rove and his super-PAC American Crossroads that took in $116,649,474 for the 2012 election cycle is a powerful PAC, but it’s purpose is far from pure. They seek to expunge those who they see as unfit to be republican candidates. People like Steve King, Ted Cruz and Paul Broun are all in the cross-hairs of American Crossroads. While these people are not libertarian by a long stretch I disagree with the infighting to create a pure conservative party.
Part of the problem in modern politics is this notion that politics, and the people in them are pure. And there is nothing further from the truth. Politics is entirely about true compromise, and working with groups and people of different backgrounds and ideas and do what’s constitutional and best for all. It’s a tough thing, getting people who have firm beliefs to work together. And until that is accomplished we’ll keep having this false paradigm of left versus right, or as I call it team sports politics.

Steve king is terrible.
To even advocate for him over another proposed congressman is basically abandoning principles all together.
He’s as establishment as every other big republican in congress.
Given a choice of the two, that is my choice.
One could compare Rove’s drive to create a “pure” Republican party to that of Hitler to create a “pure” race.
